Supercorp head canon: Kara and Lena buy their first house together. They agree, for Christmas they should get something special. Like a lab! Imagine Lena’s confusion when she leads Kara to the pristine building she had built on the other side of the property with stainless steel work benches, two supercomputers, and a kryptonian computational matrix. The goddamned laboratory has its own biohazard incinerator for Christ’s sake. Why is Kara not impressed? She got her a lab for Christmas.
Meanwhile Kara is checking her watch, and announces at noon Alex has arrived and superspeeds them to the driveway…where her sister-in-law is holding a puppy? Kara is grinning so big: Lena, look a lab!
It works out. They name the puppy Olive and she learns to love the warm spot between the two super computers. They do make a rule that all Christmas lists are to be henceforth illustrated.

One of the images that would not leave my head is that of Prowl coming face to face with the man he once was, which happens during TTB's Functionist! AU arc and becomes a narrative testament to the growth he's gone through as a person inside, as opposed to the shiny, chrome outer growth of P7031 who sees him as a glitch that has to be eradicated. So they go Highlander on each other because THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE As an additional treat, a short fic under the cut!
Preston Wan Peirong - Prowl
Jace Zayden - Functionist!AU Jazz
Benjamin ‘Ben’ Bane - Functionist AU Bumblebee
Hanley Riordan - HotRod
Hale Donovan - Hound
Stefan Scavarro - Starscream
Spencer Rao Shouren - Springer
Breaking into Sentinel Prime’s base was a deathwish back in his own universe, and it was no different here, Preston Wan mused to himself as he slipped out of the shadows during the five minute window — just as he’d predicted — where the guards at the outpost were scheduled to change shifts before beckoning the rest of the ground crew to follow in his stead.
The first line of defense cleared, they silently made their way towards the heart of the self-proclaimed dictator’s operations, breaths hitching in unison every time a guard passed a hair’s breadth away from them.
The base schematics Jace Zayden had managed to hack into and download through one of the contractors’ stolen biometrics data revealed a network of utility corridors which saw little use from the guardsmen — minute cracks in the citadel’s defenses they could capitalize on.
“How close are we to the laboratories?” Jace inquired under his breath as behind him, Benjamin Bane surreptitiously peeked at the hologram of a map emitted from a prosthetic hand.
“There’s a turn 500m ahead—we gotta take a right from there,” the youngest member of the team murmured, frowning slightly before adding: “You really think that’s where we’ll find them?”
“If what we know about the Matrix is true and Stefan’s communications with us are found out — and I’m sure they have been — then yes,” Preston said with a nod as they moved deeper into enemy territory. “The Quintessons ate those of us they couldn’t use—with greed rivaling theirs, I don’t believe Sentinel would waste a warm body on a grave over a weapon. Ours included.”
Jace winced.
“A ‘We got this team, let’s not get caught’ would have sufficed.”
“Pep talks are your specialty,” Preston reminded the rebellion leader with a raised eyebrow. “Facts are mine.”
“Like you keep proving with every sentence, my man,” Jace responded with a resigned sigh as they were halfway to the turn, when he suddenly came to a dead halt.
The raised hackles, the snarl, Preston knew what it meant even before he caught the faintest sound of gravel crunching underneath metallic soles approaching them.
“It’s him,” came the low growl from the shambling mass of fur and muscle that was Hale Donovan, who suddenly loomed over them protectively.
“Hey, it’s five on one tin man this time, and between the lot o’ us, I like those odds,” Hanley Riordan pointed out, taking on a defensive stance, and immediately Preston could feel a migraine coming along at the risk of the plan derailing entirely.
“Listen to me. Any changes to the plan at this stage, and we risk losing both Starscream and the Matrix,” he said sternly as he held out an arm to bar the rest of the group from engaging with their pursuer. “Keep the pace. I’ll stall him.”
Ben and Hanley both opened their mouths to protest, though Jace’s voice cut through the tension first.
“We’re not leaving you to get smoked out here!”
“Don’t be dramatic, I have no intention of disobeying a direct order by dying out here,” came Preston’s brisk assurance with a wry, fleeting grin as the pistols hooked to his belt hummed to life.
“An order from whom?!” Jace snapped, his grip on the Autobot chief strategist 's shoulder tightening as the heavy footfalls echoed closer to them.
There was a pause as Preston clutched the grips of his firearms, stoic features softening with tender solemnity. Home. He’d been ordered to complete the mission and come home. Home to Spencer, who needed him more than ever now. Home to—
“You.”
Jace blinked and took a second to compute an order that seemingly never passed his lips; the thought was about as absurd as the idea of two Prestons inhabiting the same universe; One a hated nemesis, the other a fledgling friend.
“... Aight. Holding you to my order, Prowler,” said the rebellion leader firmly as he thumped the ex-cop’s chestplate twice with the side of his fist in a brotherly manner, gaze dripping with loathing for the figure that strode purposefully out of the shadows. “Go full Highlander on his ass.”
With a sharp flick of the hand, Jace led the rest of the crew and made a dash for the laboratory block, while Preston positioned himself to block any access to their path.
The figure, all sleek steel and titanium save for a face that he imagined was as devoid of warmth as his was from years ago, stopped nine feet away from him.
“I’m under directives from the Prime to take all of you in for questioning,” P7031 said emotionlessly, cocking his fist to activate a firing gauntlet.
“Affirmative. I’m under my own to see to it that you don’t, and my captain’s to ensure I survive this encounter,” Preston responded in kind as he whipped out his pistols.
P7031’s blank slate of a face suddenly rippled with something that looked like it could have been pompous scorn.
“Strong words for a glitch. And what exactly do you imagine you can do against a better version of youself in every conceivable way?”
There was a second’s pause as Preston thought back to the man he once was a lifetime ago, a perfect cog in the machinery he was told kept the peace for the good of the many. He’d been taught to view deviation from his purpose and the system as something that had to be fixed—a glitch, as P7031 had so eloquently put it. But if it was one thing his time with the Autobots, with Jace had taught him, it was that he was more than his purpose, more than his past, and more than the copy of The Art Of War which those who shared the barcode on his neck were ordered to memorize word for word from the moment their small hands were steady enough to hold a weapon.
“Improvise.”

Design for shockwave, the tidal wave (not alive yet) and fathom (his headmaster minion that he hates)
Before more autobots could arrive on earth, the decepticons get not only reinforcements but also a significant leap in technology. Shockwave has developed devices to make seekers obsolete granting all decepticons the power of flight, aboard his personal ship the tidal wave he has swiftly captured autobot leadership and is now running evil experiments on them,

Shockwave is a native of the giant planet gigantion, a reclusive mad scientist he's become obsessed with the evolution of the transformer race and has turned his home into a giant laboratory spaceship which he controls as it's central computer,
At the time he received the message from earth calling for back up and telling of the allspark's discovery he had uncovered the secret to grant decepticons the power of flight regardless of alt mode, and was forced by the decepticon shadow government to distribute that technology among their troops,
Having just delivered a shipment of the new circuits within decepticon badges to the air commander slipstream. They were coincidentally the closest decepticons to earth and slipstream ordered shockwave to take on a new mission of taking her air warriors to the planet on the tidal wave.
The tidal wave's unique sensor array was immediately able to detect the allspark within the matrix of leadership, without a moment to spare the decepticons aboard the ship overwhelmed, captured the autobot leaders and trapped them within the test chambers of the tidal wave, ready to subject them to the worst experiences known to man

Brigham and Women’s study: Drug-free nasal spray could protect against COVID, flu - Published Sept 25, 2024
The problem with such drugs is that they do not and cannot work in the throat and lung, other notable infection sites of both these viruses. Masking remains the best way to protect yourself from airborne pathogens, but this is an interesting development for prophylaxis. Studies have shown that neuro-covid symptoms are worst for people whose ACE2 receptors in the sinuses were infected. This could help combat that. The idea that it could also offer drug-free protection from allergens is also interesting. Further study is needed.
By Grace Zokovitch
A new study found a new drug-free nasal spray may protect against respiratory infections like COVID and the flu, according to Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
“The COVID pandemic showed us what respiratory pathogens can do to humanity in a very short time,” said Jeffrey Karp, co-senior author of the study and chair in Anesthesiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. “That threat hasn’t gone away.
“We need new, additional ways to protect ourselves and reduce the transmission of the disease,” Karp added.
The preclinical studies show the nasal spray called Pathogen Capture and Neutralizing Spray or PCANS may be able to block respiratory illnesses, the hospital announced. The study was done out of Brigham and Women’s Hospital and published in the journal Advanced Materials.
The hospital stated that protection methods like vaccines and masks can be beneficial but aren’t perfect, noting that “influenza and COVID-19 infections cause thousands of deaths and hundreds of thousands of cases of severe disease every year.”
Most viruses enter through human’s noses, the release stated, spreading when infected people breathe out tiny droplets of fluid. Healthy people inhale the droplets, the hospital said, infecting “cells that line the nasal passageways.”
Researchers formulated the nasal spray to stop the infection in the nose using ingredients that the FDA has approved for use in other nasal sprays or determined safe. The spray was tested in a laboratory setting using replicas of human noses and mice and has not been tested on humans.
“We developed a drug-free formulation using these compounds to block germs in three ways — PCANS forms a gel-like matrix that traps respiratory droplets, immobilizes the germs, and effectively neutralizes them, preventing infection,” said co-senior author Nitin Joshi, an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology.
When sprayed in a nasal cavity replica, the release stated, “PCANS captured twice as many droplets as mucus alone.” Mice treated with the spray showed it block the influenza virus at 25 times the lethal dose, giving them “complete protection,” researchers said.
“PCANS forms a gel, increasing its mechanical strength by a hundred times, forming a solid barrier,” said primary author John Joseph, a former postdoctoral fellow at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
“It blocked and neutralized almost 100% of all viruses and bacteria we tested, including Influenza, SARS-CoV-2, RSV, adenovirus, K Pneumonia and more.”
Researchers added that the inflammatory cells and cytokines in the lungs of animals treated with the spray were “normal.”
The hospital stated that the study “provides a strong foundation for future research” into PCANS and researchers are already exploring whether the spray may block allergens.

Doctor Droggon: The scientist of Hells. Droggon was the first ever Devil made by Sir. Lou, and given the liberty to help in creating life. Most fauna and flora from the Hells originated in Droggon’s laboratory, as well as many hell-born demons. Unlike other hells, he doesn’t receive souls. He lives alone in The Matrix, his kingdom, mostly filled with creatures and unique-looking plants. The once bright and enthusiastic scientist slowly lost his shine as the millenniums passed, and he became a recluse individual, taken by an irrational fear of the future.

Servant Matrix: RICHARD I
Class: Saber
True Name: Richard I, Richard the Lionheart
Gender: Male
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Height/Weight: 178cm / 66kg
Source: Historical Fact
Region: Europe
ENDURANCE GAUGE: [X/X/X/X/X/X]
MANA CHARGES: [ X / X / X / X / X ]
COMMAND SPELLS: [ X | X | X ]
A lionhearted man, crusader, and King of England who lives more in accordance to his own emotions and ambitions rather than the orders of his superiors of a perceived 'status quo'. In life, he was said to possess a great many talents and excelled at almost everything. A man possessing a dangerous charisma who was lionized as a magnificent and ideal warrior king despite being absent for the majority of his reign. A crusader, a tyrant, a warlord, a knight-- a man who has held many titles and been viewed through many different lenses both during and after his life.
He was found by the Masters in a laboratory belonging to the Umbral Institute, presumably as part of a plot to create an 'exploitable Excalibur'. How he got there and what the details of the experiment are remain a mystery, though he is grateful to be brought back to the side of humanity. If he remained undiscovered and the plot was finished, could he have instead been a fierce enemy rather than a bravehearted ally…?
He and his siblings of the House of Plantagenet (known to historians also as the 'Devil's Brood') were known for their ferocity, constant infighting, and propensity for violence. Thankfully, as a Saber, his more personable traits come to light. In life, he was known for his eccentric and sporadic personality that earned him the nickname 'Oc e Non' (Yes and No), meaning that his line of thinking can be extreme and difficult to follow at times, but one does not earn the title 'Coeur de Lion' (Lionheart) from taking the simple path. He is a bold-hearted warrior king that will slay his enemies without a shift in his expression or a moment's hesitation-- and also his allies, if he finds them particularly disagreeable.
Despite not possessing an actual 'Charisma' skill, he does have a rather magnetic personality that makes him easily likable. That, in addition to his adoration of the heroes of old such as King Arthur and the Knights of the Round or Charlemagne and his Twelve Paladins thanks to being told stories by his mother Aliénor d'Aquitaine, means that even with the more troublesome aspects of his personality present, he strives to act in a manner that he considers honorable and knightly-- wishing to help the common folk, and finding the prospect of 'saving humanity' a noble and exciting path to follow.
To put it simply, he's a royal pain, but a royal pain that you'd rather have as an ally.
Strength: B
Endurance: B
Agility: EX (B -> A++)
Mana: B
Luck: C
NP: A
SKILLS:
Magic Resistance (B) - Cancel spells with a chant below three verses. Even if targeted by greater magecraft and Greater Rituals, it is difficult for them to be affected.
Riding (A) - All vehicles and all creatures but those of Phantasmal Beast and Divine Beast-rank can be used as mounts.
Godspeed (A) - A skill crystallizing his ferocity and speed on the battlefield and the extent of his marches. The longer the battle continues, the higher his Agility parameter climbs.
Lionheart (A) - A skill embodying the name 'Lionheart'. When he's present on the battlefield, enemies are inflicted with wariness and fear, and his allies are emboldened with an increase to morale.
All Kinds of Talents (A) - A skill based on anecdotes that proclaimed his talent at a great many things, ranging from combat to the arts. Anything he practiced while he was alive can be performed at 'B-Rank' or higher, and new skills can be picked up incredibly quickly.
NOBLE PHANTASM: Excalibur
The Sword of Forever Distant Victory.
They say that Richard I liked to name any sword that he uses 'Excalibur', due to his immense adoration of King Arthur.
This Noble Phantasm is not the true Excalibur as wielded by the likes of King Arthur, but a replica blade that can be created by Richard whenever he wields something that he wishes to consider 'Excalibur', ranging from a random tree branch to an ornamental sword. The strength of the attack depends on the 'value' of the object, with different objects resulting in a different energy release.
Despite the power of this Noble Phantasm, it will always pale in comparison to the true Excalibur.
NOBLE PHANTASM: Rounds of Lionheart
A mysterious ability to materialize those that he bonded with in life using his own Saint Graph as a catalyst. One of Richard's trump cards, and a skill that even someone as eccentric as himself does not take lightly, and a Noble Phantasm that he keeps close to his chest and doesn't speak of carelessly.
They manifest within Richard's shadow from the records of the Moon Cell. In other theoretical worlds, they would be directly summoned from the Throne of Heroes. They cannot fully manifest in a practical sense, and are weaker than normal Heroic Spirits, but can cover Richard's blind spots and provide him advice during combat.
The number of 'essences' he can summon is dependent on the amount of magical energy he possesses.
EXTRA SKILL: Fury Shift
A unique trigger possessed by Richard due to belonging to a multifaceted Master-- some of which that may have been more attuned to Richard's aspects as a 'warlord'. Richard can take 'Brave Actions', which have a higher chance of causing Richard harm, but increase his 'Heat'. When his 'Heat' is fully maxxed out, the Masters can temporarily shift him into a destructive state surrounded by raging flames-- a true manifestation of 'Lionheart'. Richard's Endurance Gauge will continuously decrease each action, however his destructive power increases immensely.
NOBLE PHANTASM: Utopie Purgatoire
The flames of purgatory burn in the shape of ferocious lions as Richard charges forth.
A violent, massively powerful manifestation of Richard the Lionheart's unreasonable fighting style, where he'd charge ahead of his soldiers-- and the destruction that he left in his wake.
Can only be used when 'Fury Shifted'
-
COMBO ATTACKS:
SWORD OF GILDED VICTORY
{REQUIRES: YOUNG GIL + RICHARD I, -3 MP EACH} --
Gil passes Richard a blade from the Age of Gods from his treasury, allowing him to use 'Excalibur' in a massively powered up fashion, unleashing a barrage of super-powered beams. The blade is destroyed once the technique is completed.
MYSTIC CODES:
'Wandering Rock and Roll'

A fashionable, modern outfit that RICHARD bought for himself. As of now, the change is purely cosmetic. However, there seems to be some latent potential within the clothing...

Excise and Customise
This study uses human mesenchymal (the embryonic origin of connective tissue) cell lines (immortal and unlimited lab-grown cells) as a surrogate supply of extracellular matrix – the molecules outside cells but influential in their functions and behaviour. Customising these cells by CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing reveals biochemical components of the matrix that are important in bone tissue repair

some of my favourite quotes by and about matrix supergirl / mae kent
“Her only memories are vague rememberances copied from a woman long dead. Her powers and abilities are far beyond those of human beings. But human is what she yearns to be…” (Narration) (Superman (1987) #30
“That’s awfully sweet of him, the big silly, but he might as well try to hold back the tide! How could I not hope for the best?” (The Death and Life of Superman, Roger Stern)
“And as I observe it happen, one aching truth hangs over me. I lied. I lied to a creature in need.” (Supergirl (1996) #5)
“I wonder what it’s like to be born. And to die. And the thread that holds it all together… it’s so obviously fragile at the beginning, and it doesn’t grow any stronger as life goes on. It just gets hidden by years of pretending you’re exempt from a human death… like I am. I try to play by the rules… but they’re rules written by unseen hands. Well, I can be unseen too. And I’m not quite ready to rest.” (Showcase ‘96 #8)
“…She was all “grown up” from day one… no wonder she feels like a big girl. But she isn’t a wise girl… not yet. She’s still so very young.” (Ma speaking to Pa) (Supergirl (1994) #1)
“What else did he know? He was created as the ultimate weapon of a warrior age. I started out life in a laboratory, too, but I was lucky; thanks to you and some other fine people, I learned early on what it means to choose to live for something. I don’t think the Eradicator ever had that chance, did he?” (The Death and Life of Superman, Roger Stern)
“This is the best! I feel so comfortable out here, so free— as if I were made for… I mean born for… anyway, you get the idea.” (Mae about space) (New Titans #124)
“No matter what you hoped to gain from her through all your plots and schemes, it can never match what you’ve lost.” (Clark, speaking to Lex about Mae) (Supergirl (1994) #4)
“I don’t have a typical day in my life. Frankly I don’t have anything outside of trying to help people. My ‘life’ is nothing like yours. Life is a concept I’m still trying to wrestle with. Sometimes I wonder if I even am alive… if any of us are… and what it all means.” (Showcase ‘96 #8)
“It’s so beautiful at night, thought Supergirl, like a huge Christmas tree, going on for miles and miles. The city, with its millions of residents, held a constant fascination for her. There were no cities where she had come from, only ruins. This is what my world would have been like, if not for General Zod.” (The Death and Life of Superman, Roger Stern)

Shamanism, Quantum Physics, and Dreaming The World Into Being “Physicists understand that in the quantum world of the universe’s smallest elemental parts, nothing is “real” until it is observed. But quantum events do not occur in the laboratory only. They also happen inside our brain, on this page, and everywhere around us. When you observe any part of this dream, the great matrix of energy, you can change reality and alter the entire dream.” “Courageous Dreaming: How Shamans Dream the World Into Being” Alberto Villoldo Galactic Shaman Map of the Universe Talon Abraxas

So...
Fit lived on 2b2t (Wasteland) for 10 years before coming to Quesadilla Island with a purpose. There, qFit found someone called MADAGIO. An all white individual who sees through cats. That explains the strange cats on the island.
Madagio said he came from an island where "things happened", he is able to travel between worlds. He sent qFit on a mission: collect the maximum amount of data from Quesadilla Island.Madagio warned qFit to not create relations with nobody on the island, since the mission should be done in one year.If qFit failed, he should be doomed to eternally stay on the Wasteland (2b2t). Also, Madagio promised to hurt everyone who was close to qFit. So,yeah, Ramon and now QPac are in danger.
Looking for vacations, qFit accepted the mission and was sent to the place where the first tickets of the Island where delivered. As we know, we are at the end of december. The contract was delivered on march 1st, so, the deal needs to be done in 3 months.
Some people have talked about the theory of the island being a simulation, but at the same time we have no data to explain what type of simulation this is. Maybe it's not the traditional Matrix. The Federation and the entities above it like to play god, maybe they created different worlds in search of a perfect one and using their guinea pigs (the islanders) to test each world. That's why they brought people to the island, to use their children. This would fit into the mystery twins' backstory. They may have been brought to this island, or they may have been made in a laboratory, like qBaghera, using DNA from the first people who were brought to Quesadilha Island. And the Federation has been doing this for a long time, so people like QTubbo were frozen. To conclude, qFit's time is running out, and we know that a war is approaching, Cucurucho is worried about this, so I believe that qFit's boss invades worlds to conquer, or something like that, so my theory: I think this guy MADAGIO will invade the island with his ``soldiers´´.

Did you guys know that both Blinding Lights and As it was are similar to a-ha song and since we are talking about how he took Abel's award I thought about how they wrote AIW. I was listening to Justin Hawkins (lead guitarist of darkness) analysis of it and he said that AIW is made almost mathematically accurate to be catchy, like they deconstructed a-ha song to find out what makes it so good to listen to and built up AIW based on that analysis. Then I looked at stats of blinding lights (I believe the first song similar to a-ha song that reached those big numbers) and I think Harry's team were studying Abel for his HS3 era, they saw crazy numbers Blinding lights reached, found a-ha similarities in it and said oh we can do the same that will make our job easier and went to do cheap copy of a-ha song. Someone might consider me biased but I couldn't care less, I think Abel truly made something original based on inspiration meanwhile hs and his team did study both a-ha and Abel in laboratory and made something safe that would guarantee them success for HS3. (I mean he already data mines his fandom so) none of the other singles from that album reached to #1 chart position so they really were dependent on the performance of AIW like they did during FL era with watermelon sugar. Both of these singles archived this through getting viral on TikTok and I remember anon on harrie blog was saying how creators were paid to use WS initially (so those achievements are also fishy to me). So not sound nor music video concept was original for AIW (matrix + elderbrook "inner light" copy) aka his biggest achievement!
(It has nothing to do with this but his cover of ultralight beam on live on tour is also copy of cub sport cover of the same song in 2016. I was originally so impressed by that harry cover I thought how cool it was that he reimagined it this way completely changed the vibe of it and made it better, than I found cub sport cover (done year before his) and I was like now it makes sense how 😭oh and adore you music video concept is also stolen from harry nelson's short film "the point !". there is no original thought in that malleable mind)
And finally what Justin said in that video was that it's interesting that years from now people won't remember AIW they will always talk about a-ha song (and he wasn't even hating on HS in his analysis) and DAMN isn't that absolute worst thing to hear for someone who thinks he will become a legend (he actually thinks he is already one) and change music history, will be remembered. One of your anons said that if you take HS out of music history now nothing will change he hasn't left any significant mark on it whatsoever, nobody is crazy inspired by him. I've heard men say he made them feel like they can dress more freely after watching him but that's the start and the end of HS being inspiring lol

Random Facts from my WOF Predacons AU: Cybertronian edition!
The Decepticons in this universe began forging the Predacons when the Allspark fell into their hands midway through the Great War.
During the last days of the Great War, Unicron attacked a Decepticon controlled Cybertron, leaving a majority of Decepticon forces annihilated by the Chaos Bringer, including Decepticon High Command. However, the majority of Predacon forces were spared from this fate as they were posted on Earth at the time.
The planet Cybertron is currently in an uneasy era of peace. Two major factions govern the two nations, the Autobots of the North, and the Tri-Predacon Union in the ruins of the South
The Predacons on Cybertron take up 3/4 of the population, but occupy only 1/4 of the surface, with said area being in the southern hemisphere, the most war-torn area on the planet.
Leader of the T.P.U. is none other than the first Predacon to be forged in millennia, the great leader Predaking, who's authority extends to the Predacons, Insecticons, and the few surviving Decepticon loyalists.
In the North, an Autobot by the name of Cyclon (A headmaster whose head turns into a motorcycle and body turns into the Cybertronian equivalent to a V-22 Osprey) has assumed temporary leadership over his faction until the Matrix of Leadership can be found but remains highly controversial among the populaces of both nations.
He has enacted many anti-Tri-Predacon policies, including but not limited to:
Refusing to send relief efforts to the T.P.U.
Banning travel between the two nations, punishable by life in the Shadow Prison
Any Predacons that are born in the Well of Sparks (located in the Northern Hemishphere) are immediately exiled to the T.P.U.
Claiming 3/4 of Cybertron's remaining surface for the Autobots, despite Autobots only making a 1/4 of the population.
But by far his most notable controversial move was establishing the Shadow Prison, an orbiting prison locked away in the Shadow Zone between dimensions.
Its purpose is to lock away the most vile and dangerous war criminals, but many suspect that he also secretly locks up those whom he considers a threat to his regime.
Dinobot was one of the last Predacons to be forged during the Great War and originally stayed in his Velociraptor like form 24/7 (not uncommon for the newly forged). One day, a Decepticon warrior named Deadlock was visiting the laboratory when he noticed the unusual amount of restraint the newly forged Predacon had during fight training. The Decepticon took a liking to this Predacon, and began to train the young Dinobot as his own apprentice. The Decepticon had a massive influence on young Predacon, instilling teachings of swordsmanship, honor, and morality on him. It went so far as to when the young Dinobot first transformed, his helmet bore a striking resemblance to the mentor he sought to be like.

hihi its time for even more lancer fic
this one is about a girl who died in a bomb, and got stitched back together by a forbidden superweapon, victim of the cruelest of fates. now she's bound both psychically and physically to a weapon, made in the image of one of the Five Fiendish Weapons of Old Mankind.
please enjoy!
Arablissa Sopora ix-Nerva died once already. She was on her Grand Tour, leaving the holdings of the House of Smoke for the first time, with her household guard and ladies-in-waiting all in tow with her, as befit her status. It's just how she died was kind of a conflux of bad luck. Maybe its payback for the blessed life she had already lived. The seventh daughter of an Underbaron of the House of Smoke- a man who adored and spoiled her as the only child he did not have to apprentice to his various patrons. She went to a little shop down a back alley, directed by the scent of Eyaleti spices, finding a sweets shop, and ordering a flan. It was a little treat to share with her accompanying maids. The Old Man had said it was his specialty, a spiced flan one could only taste thanks to his friendship with a Karrakin spice-merchant. A little taste of home, this far in the bordermarches.
That's when the bomb the Grammaton had set went off, just like that, a prophecy was supposed to be severed. A great karmic whorl stopped. The Old Man was the target, but he always had a way out- but not Arablissa and her maids. The ones that died looked a bit like hamburger. But the Barons of the House of Smoke, they tend to breed… redundancies, into their children. Takes them a while to die properly, they spend a long time in a limbo-state of shock. A wonderful failsafe when you expect to be pulling your heir out of a wrecked cavalry frame or claiming his body after a duel. So it ended up that Arablissa could survive for a little bit while missing most of her torso.
And the Old Man saw a chance for a little impromptu experiment, like in the old days. He had an idea that involved this half-dead scion. He had something in the basement, an old toy he recovered from his last laboratory. It was no Conqueror of Mars, but… it had its uses.
And so he interred the now mostly-dead Arablissa inside the maw of a Forget-Me-Not; a banned biomachina, a thing crafted in the image of one of the Five Fiendish Weapons of Old Mankind. He linked the dying Arablissa's brain with the neural matrix of the mech, and he abandoned them.
And a few hours later, Arablissa was alive again. Stitched back together with the flesh provided by her maids and the Berserker Cells provided by Dinner For Two.
=======
The young lady is sitting in a bare concrete room, on a shitty plastic folding chair, in front of a shitty little plastic table. Next to the table is the last of her luggage, slightly burned, filled with what few outfits and necessities she had with her. All she had with her. For example, the fine ceramic plate and sterling spoon that sat upon the shitty little table. Atop the fine china for the evening was a small slice of cake. Her clothes are rumpled, gone off, unwashed as the rest of her seems to be. Her head tilts wearily at you, lank hair hanging in strands around her eyes. "Oh. Uh. I didn't expect a guest. I don't. Have any extra to share. And… I don't have the kettle on, or unpacked…" She rights her head and looks behind her, eyes following the umbilical linking her to the mech. "I think… there might be one in there?" She gestures sort of vaguely at the mouth-like cockpit opening in the mech's chest, from which the umbilical spills.
"I… wouldn't go in there if I was you though. You know. Mech security. Genetic template reads. That… kind of thing." She gives a weak smile. Her words are at once very truthful, and a complete lie. Her face really says it all. 'Please don't go inside the mech I think it will eat you and I don't want to think about what that means while I'm cycling fluids with it.' She picks up the sterling spoon and slices the cake with it, parting cream and icing and syruped fruit with a smooth motion. "If you um… don't mind waiting for me to finish eating, I can put on some tea and we can talk… Cause… are you here to give me a job? I could… really use one."
You cannot properly see her skin, under the sleeves of her once-fine jacket, cut in Karrakin military style, the slate gray of House of Smoke stained in a few places with what… seems like blood, on second inspection. But you can see her right hand, which… doesn't look like proper flesh. If the rest of her looks clammy, it simply looks fake. You can see, in the veins on the back of her right, pulses of gray. Little nodules pushing their way slowly through the veins, up and back towards the sleeve. Her other hand looks like it had been split in half and roughly glued back together. Between her middle and ring fingers, running down to her wrist, is a fresh and red scar. You think you see it begin to weep a thin gray liquid. She eats another spoonful of cake, and the mech behind her stirs.
Its taloned hands rest upon its thighs, it kneels in the concrete room, back scraping the ceiling. Its blunt, lizardlike face twitches to alertness, swinging a blind skull towards you before settling back to rest. Its body is all smooth black musculature, covered in long woven layers of flesh- all bound together. It almost looks like the thing is wearing a long duster. You feel like the mouth-cockpit closes a few feet, and the umbilical is definitely slithering back inside. Its certainly getting more taught against the woman's back. "My name is… Arablissa. Arablissa Sopora ix-Nerva. You… probably knew that, right?" You shake your head. She looks kind of like she wants to cry, but manages to just eat another spoonful of cake. "Um. If you can transport us-" She jerks her head backwards, towards the mech. "-we'll fight. We really will. Just. If you're getting offworld, that's… that's what I want."
She pauses a moment, splitting the heel of the cake in two, eating her second-to-last slice. "I… you're here about the Old Man, right." You nod your head. "I. I don't know where he is. He did this to me. So. I'm not hiding him. I want to know what this is… that he did to me…" She picks up her last slice withe the spoon with a gentle scoop, and finally meets your eyes. Hers are yellowed, and you would say bloodshot- but they aren't red. There is gray, in her eyes. You see something black swim through the scalera of her left eye. "You can hire me… to hunt him. If you want to. I'd take… that job." She eats her last slice of cake.
"Do… do you want me to put the kettle on for you? I… I used to have like… servants for this. I'm… really sorry about being inhospitable."
